Renaissance School of the Arts is an inclusive co-operative community for homeschooling families, and others with flexible weekday schedules.

We have been offering social activities and secular classes in the Suffolk/ Isle of Wight, VA area since 2004. 

RSA believes that artistic endeavors foster growth and success in all aspects of learning.

Our inclusive community celebrates self-expression and enables students to discover and develop their own unique potential.

For the 2024-25 School Year, RSA will be offering a wide variety of in-person classes for ages 3 years through adult, and a few online classes. Each class has a separate Class Fee due each month directly to the instructor. Some classes also have additional Supply Fees.

We're so excited to be starting RSA's 21st year, and offering this great variety of classes, including new classes from favorite instructors, popular classes returning, and new classes by amazing new instructors!

Class spaces are limited, enrollment is first-come-first-served and getting a spot in a specific class is not guaranteed.

We're excited for another fun year of learning all kinds of interesting things together, plus RSA's other community activities like Spirit days, Yearbook photos, performances and more!

2024-25 Classes will run Sept 10 - April 24.

Thanksgiving Break: Nov 25-29

Winter Break: Dec 9 - Jan 5

Spring Break: March 3-7

  RSA classes run September through April. Each class meets one day per week, either Tuesday or Thursday. All classes meet in-person in North Suffolk, VA. Some classes are also available online live, these are marked Hybrid {H}. Each class has a separate fee which is paid monthly directly to the instructor.

RSA 2024-25 Registration is Open for New and Returning Families

CLASS ENROLLMENT is now open for families that have completed Registration :)

To enroll in RSA classes you must first be a Registered Member

Returning members need to re-register with RSA each year

To start the Registration process, first read the Member Handbook, then complete the Family Application Form.

We will contact you about your application, hopefully within 24 hours, but please remember that we are all volunteers!

Once your application is approved, we'll invoice you for the Family Fee. We will also be in touch to arrange your Volunteer Job.

Prospective members and visitors are welcome to attend RSA's Summer Activities on Thursdays. Event time & location varies weekly, please refer to Calendar or follow RSA's Facebook Page for info.

To enroll in RSA classes you must first be a Registered Member:

1. Read and agree to abide by the current Member Handbook.

2. Complete a Member Application.

3. We will contact you when your Application has been received, with details of how to complete Registration. You will also need to complete your Family Profile, submit the Liability Waiver, pay RSA's annual family Membership Fee, and sign up for your Volunteer Job. All Families are required to do at least 1 Volunteer position.

Note: The Family Registration Fee is non-refundable. If you have questions regarding RSA which may affect your decision to register, please contact us at [email protected] prior to paying the Family Registration Fee.

RSA's Registration process involves multiple steps, and requires our admins (who are all parent volunteers) to manually update your account settings. Please be patient with us and understand it can take time to get your account set up for class enrollment. Registration opens before class enrollment starts to allow time to complete the process, we recommend not waiting until the day class enrollment opens to register.

Important Dates for Summer 2024-25 Registration

• July 26 - Aug 8 - Priority Early Bird registration for Returning Families. $125
  
• August 9 - 23 - Early Bird Registration for New & Returning Families, $150
  
• August 10, 9am - Class Enrollment opens for Returning Families
• August 13, 9am - Class Enrollment opens for New Families
• Standard Registration, Family Fee $175
  
• Summer Open Enrollment ends August 25th. During open enrollment you can drop/switch classes without a Drop Form
• August 26 - Class Fee Payment #1 & Supply Fee payments due to Instructors. Drop Form is now required to drop a class, 4 class sessions paid notice goes into effect.
• August 31 - Deadline for Class Payment 1 & Supply fees to instructors
• September 10 & 12 - Classes start. Class Fee Payment #2 is due.
